Taste of Vietnam Cooking Class

Do you love the colors and flavorful dishes of Vietnamese cuisine? Join guest instructor Trang Vo for some of her favorite family recipes.

Cooler weather is almost here, and what better way to celebrate than with a big delicious bowl of phở! Join our newest guest instructor Trang Vo in the kitchen as she takes you through the steps of making pho and other delicious vietnamese dishes. These authenic recipes are creations straight from Trang and her mom, who both have a passion for bright, colorful, and fresh vietnamese dishes. Come taste a bit of Vietnam with us!

This is a hands-on cooking class where participants will be in small groups preparing one of the recipes to share with the class. You will enjoy all of the dishes listed below and get to take home the recipes to make over and over again. We can’t wait to see you in class!

Meet Guest Instructor Trang Vo:

Hello everyone! My name is Trang, and I am a second-year medical student at Pacific Northwest University. Outside of studying rigorously to become an emergency medicine physician, I have a great passion for the culinary arts. On the weekends you can often find me cooking or baking, hosting cooking nights with friends, or trying restaurants on my travels to find inspiration.

Although I was born here in Washington State, my parents are originally from a river town in Southern Vietnam. My mom came from a long line of restaurant owners and once owned a Pho shop with her mother prior to coming to the United States. From her is how I came to love cooking. Growing up, I spent most of my summers off school watching her cook and being her very own food critic. And once I was old enough, I began experimenting and creating new recipes alongside her. During this summer, her and I have taken the time to write out a few Vietnamese recipes to share with you all. I thank Elaina for the opportunity to let myself and my mother’s culinary passion run free.

Dishes are dairy free and egg free, most are gluten free. Please let us know about food allergies.
