Sunday, December 3: Emerald Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker
Under the direction of Viktoria Titova, Emerald Ballet Theatre is excited to present our 16th annual production of The Nutcracker with the Emerald Ballet Theatre Orchestra, conducted by David Waltman. Our December 2 and 3 performances will also feature Columbia Choirs of Metropolitan Seattle, under the direction of Katrina Turman.
“The Nutcracker” is a timeless and enchanting ballet that has captured the hearts of audiences around the world for generations. This beloved production, set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, tells the story of Clara who embarks on a magical journey on Christmas Eve.
In this delightful tale, Clara receives a special nutcracker doll as a gift from her godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer. As the clock strikes midnight, Clara’s world transforms into a whimsical wonderland, where her beloved nutcracker comes to life. Together they embark on a captivating adventure filled with dazzling characters, including the Mouse Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy and memorable characters from the Land of Sweets.
Throughout the performance, audiences are treated to breathtaking choreography, stunning costumes, and a mesmerizing set design. “The Nutcracker” is not only a visual and auditory feast, but a cherished holiday tradition, bringing joy and wonder to audiences of all ages.
Patrons of all ages are required to have a ticket.
