Snow Geese and Swans of the Skagit Valley
Each year, the Skagit is the winter home of thousands of geese and swans that nest in the arctic. Wildlife biologist, Martha Jordan has spent a long career studying swans and snow geese that winter in our region. While swan populations have stabilized in recent years, we’ve seen big changes in snow geese populations. Come learn about the connections between our big, white birds and agriculture, climate, and conditions in both summer nesting habitat and our local estuaries. Saturday, February 3, 1:00-2:30pm.
