By keeping our threads out of the landfill a little longer, we can make a dent in the negative effects of the clothing industry. This event will bring together community members to share skills and inspiration as we reimagine our wardrobes with an eye toward sustainability.
Participants may bring 5 items of clothing to work with. These items might need a simple repair, or may be items that could be repurposed in a creative way. Throughout the day we’ll have examples of clothing that has been successfully upcycled for a longer life.
