Oysterology 301: Mastering the Oyster Experience, from Shucking to Savoring
Polish off your oyster education with the final installment of our three-part series taught by the experts behind Pop-Up Oyster Bar Co. This class will build off the previous workshops, taking an even deeper dive into the briny world of these beloved bivalves. Learn how to masterfully shuck oysters, as well as master a variety of ways to prepare these local delicacies as PUOB Co. founder Corey Burleigh and his staff guide us through the day. This particular workshop will examine the differences between North America’s two most prevalent oysters species—the Pacific and the Virginica—as well as offer some tips for sourcing oysters and working with them at home in different ways. The series will culminate in a truly memorable and festive feast starring oysters, as well as a wealth of seasonally-inspired sides using ingredients sourced from the garden and creamery at Bella Luna Farms.
