NCAS: Supporting Wild Birds and Working Landscapes in Skagit Valley & DNR Aquatic Reserves Program

February 25 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join the North Cascades Audubon Society for a presentation with guest speakers Bryony Angell and Erica Blake in the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall.

An Introduction to Be Bird Wise

Bryony Angell sharesย the origin story of theย Be Bird Wiseย initiative in Washingtonโ€™s agricultural Skagit Valley. Be Bird Wise is an educational media campaign promoting responsible viewing behavior and speaking to recreational visitors to the region, drawn by the presence and abundance of migratory birds across the agricultural landscape.

Bryony writes and speaks about the economy and culture of the world birding scene as it supports wild bird conservation. She contributes to regional and national publications like The Seattle Times, Audubon.org, and The American Birding Association’s Birding Magazine.
