Learn how to create multicolor screenprints by printing layers to build up your image, and print your own edition of prints on paper!

This class meets on Wednsday, 11/6 , Thursday 11/7, Wednesday 11/13, and Thursday 11/14 from 6-8:30 pm.

Learn how to create multicolor screenprints in this in-depth class! In many printmaking processes, including screenprinting, multicolor images are created by printing each color separately. In this class, students will learn how to compose images that will yield succesful prints, how to align your prints as you build up your image, tricks to get unique color effects, and more.

Students will leave this class with an edition of multicolor prints and a zine outlining what they learned. All experience levels welcome! Beginners, come ready to learn a lot! If you’ve done some printing and would like support in adding color to your work, this is the class for you!

This class is taught by AAC Class Coordinator and Print Studio Manager Katey Rissi.

This class is held in the print studio in the main art building on the AAC campus. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.

Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout.

A Note on Ticket Pricing: We are experimenting with offering sliding scale tickets in order to keep our classes accessible to as many community members as possible. There are three price tiers. Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes. Accessibility tickets are priced below what it costs for us to run a class. If the cost of a full price ticket is a hardship, we encourage you to purchase a sliding scale ticket. If you can pay the full price or sustaining price, please choose that option so we can keep providing arts programming to the community.

In addition to sliding scale pricing, tuition assistance is also available for Alchemy classes and workshops if finances are a barrier. Apply for tuition assistance here.
