While beavers can cause challenges for landowners they can also be invaluable for protecting and preserving fresh water and wildlife habitat

While beavers can cause challenges for landowners, they can also be invaluable for protecting and preserving fresh water and wildlife habitat.

If beavers are causing issues on your property, there may be solutions to help you to live peacefully alongside them, allowing them to continue paddling around and raising their young while reducing the impact they have on your home and activities.

This free class covers

  • Assessing your beaver situation
  • Identifying options for beaver management
  • Permits
  • Devices such as trickle tubes and beaver deceivers
  • Installing protective caging around trees

There are limited spots available. Please let us know if you won’t be able to make it as soon as possible so we can offer that spot to someone on the waitlist. Email LDachenhausen@snohomishcd.org, or cancel your ticket through Eventbrite.

Our presentation starts at the Lake Stevens Library at 10:30am. We’ll then go on a brief walk to tour a nearby project site that demonstrates beaver coexistence. Please be sure to dress for the weather and a walk through vegetation, waterproof shoes are best.

Library address: 2211 Grade Rd, Lake Stevens, WA 98258
