Lid I-5 North Seattle Community Vision Workshop
We’re excited to invite you to a pivotal event that will shape the future of North Seattle’s urban landscape – the Lid I-5 North Community Vision Workshop!
- Date: Thursday, November 9, 2023
- Time: 5:30-8:00pm
- Location: Gould Hall Court, 3950 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105
Lid I-5 North Seattle is a transformative, community-led opportunity to reconnect North Seattle neighborhoods by creating more space for parks, housing, pedestrians, cyclists, and more over Interstate 5 between NE 45th and NE 50th Streets. But we can’t do it without your input and creativity. This event is brought to you by the U District Partnership, Lid I-5, and the UW Scan|Design Master Studio.
What’s a Vision Workshop?
A Vision Workshop is an interactive workshop where community members, stakeholders, and design professionals come together to brainstorm, share ideas, and envision the possibilities for a specific project. It’s a collaborative and inclusive process that ensures diverse perspectives are heard and integrated into the final design.
- Be a part of shaping the future of North Seattle.
- Learn about highway lid projects in Seattle and examples from across the country.
- Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and fellow residents.
- Share your ideas, concerns, and vision for open space, housing, retail, and more
Whether you’re an urban planning enthusiast, a concerned neighbor, or simply curious about the future of Seattle, your voice matters. Join us to contribute to the design process and make your mark on our city’s landscape!
Refreshments will be provided, and there will be opportunities for networking and engagement. Can’t attend all evening? Don’t worry, you can come by anytime to participate and connect with Lid I-5 campaign volunteers. You might also get a chance to talk with elected officials and representatives of local organizations.
So, mark your calendars and bring your creative spirit to the Lid I-5 North Community Vision Workshop.
Let’s build a better, more connected Seattle together!
