Amateur mycologist Shannon Adams will be our guest, to guide us into the world of Cortinarius mushrooms. What began as a passionate curiosity has evolved for her into observing, collecting, identifying and describing new species of this huge genus. She leads forays, teaches microscopy, works on DNA sequencing and — no surprise — advocates for greater public participation in community science.
We’ll also discuss club plans for the year ahead.
