Learn to weave patterned bands for friendship bracelets and shoelaces. Teen and up

Band weaving is a great project for people brand new to weaving, or for those who want a carry-along project. The colors are arranged in the provided warp set-up, then the weaving is a simple back and forth. We will be making friendship bracelets from embroidery floss, using a very simple loom. Everything you need fits into a sandwich bag! The class materials fee includes the floss, heddle, and shuttle for you to take home. This technique can be used for making drawstrings, purse straps, shoelaces, and much more.

Prerequisites: None

Min/max registrations: 1-5

Instructor Bio: Janet Martinson is a textile artist and makerspace volunteer with decades of experience on a number of fabric arts disciplines.
