Family STEAM Days – Not a Box (Cars)
October is Tacoma Arts Month and we are celebrating by exploring three-dimensional artwork and designing our very own cars.
“Why are you sitting in a box? It’s not a box!” Today, we’ll be inspired by the children’s story “Not a Box” and use our imaginations to make our very own car sculptures with cardboard boxes and other recycled materials.
Design, build, tinker and learn together as you explore the world of automobiles and its relation to science, technology, engineering, art and math on Family STEAM Day. On the third Saturday of each month, you and your child, grandchild, or family can spend quality time together exploring activities available in the Education Studio and Family Zone.
Family STEAM Days are free for ACM Members and is also included with Museum admission. Museum visitors age 18 and under receive FREE admission on Family STEAM Days.
