Come join us for a fun and relaxed session where you’ll learn the basics of drawing with ink – perfect for beginners!
JOIN LOCAL ARTIST INSTRUCTOR HANNAH COMPLIN
In this beginner friendly class
Students will learn:
- How to choose and use materials used by professional inkers
- Basic pen control techniques, practice drills, cross hatching, ink washes, textures and value
- How to plan, draft and transfer line work cleanly from rough draft to final ink
- One completed project in 4 weeks
Please Bring these Required Materials :
Pens –
- -03, 05 and 08 sizes of ballpoint pen, Pentel Hybrid Arts recommended
- -03, 05, and 08 sizes of felt tip archival ink art pens,
- -Copic Multiliners or Pigma Micron recommended
- -Calligraphy pen & holder, Tachikawa Zebra or Brause nibs recommended
- -Brush pens, small and large
- – Tombow Fudenosuke or Micron Brush Tip
- -Pentel Pocket Brush
Paper-
- -Notebook of thick paper suitable for pens, Canson Mix Media XL 7×10 recommended
Other –
- -Kneaded Eraser
- -Pencil-White Ink Pen like Gelly Roll or Uniball White Ballpoint
- -Bottle of Black India Ink
- -Small Ruler
