Our new beginner birding walk will be at Wapato Lake through the end of the year! These walks are beginner/family friendly, but all skill levels are welcome. Led by TAS volunteer Hannah Kornbrath, experienced birding guide and education director at the Nisqually Reach Nature Center.

This walk will meet at the Wapato Park Pavilion, by the restrooms on the East side of the lake, and follow the paved trail around the lake. A great choice for those using strollers or mobility aids.

The lake and mature trees make this park a haven for birds in an otherwise heavily developed part of the city. A great place to spot waterfowl, songbirds, and migratory species, especially as we approach the fall migratory season!
