In this episode we are joined by Sena Wheeler.  Sena and her husband Rich are the owners of Sean Sea Seafood.Based in Wenatchee Sean Sea sustainably fishes for Salmon, Black Cod, and Halibut off the coast of Alaska.  They process the fish at their custom processing facility and then ship the fish to Wenatchee.Sena is a third generation Fisherman's wife. Sena's grandfather immigrated from Norway to Ballard and started commercially fishing in 1938.  Sena's father fished commercially for 30 years. Rich married into the family and is now representing the third generation.Sena has a master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science with quantifying Omega 3's in fish. from Oregon State University.  She shares a story about drilling holes in Albacore Tuna to test the Omega 3's Quite interesting.....drilling....holes...in fish....  While working as a food scientist Sena and Rich started selling fish Rich caught to friends. This quickly grew into a full time business.
