Conversation with Brandon Fralic and Rachel Wood about Urban Hikes in Washington State

In this episode our host Scott Cowan chats with Brandon Fralic and and Rachel Wood. Rachel and Brandon have just published their latest book Urban Hikes Washington.

We chat about what it takes to put together a hiking guide and we learn a bit about the selection process that they go through when they select the hikes for the book.

We also talk about their other book Beer Hiking Pacific Northwest. They share their story about how they came to the idea of writing books about hiking and beer.  Brandon and Rachel run the website Beers at the Bottom where they share lots of stories about great hikes that can be paired with great locations to grab a pint of tasty Washington State craft beers.

Wrapping up the conversation we chat about Bellingham and some fun place to experience when you visit Bellingham or Whatcom County.
