Attending Spokane’s 41st Annual Pig Out in The Park

Pig Out in the Park is officially back! Yay! Many Spokanites have been waiting for this event to return and it has been officially announced after a 2-year hiatus. Spokane is happy to welcome back this great event, opening Aug 31st thru Sept 5th, 2022. Pig Out in the Park is a free-admission and family-friendly event, located in the heart of downtown Spokane at Riverfront Park.

This is one of Spokane’s favorite 6-day events that brings in so many great food vendors and booths, boasting “50 unique nationalities” with over 250 menu items to choose from. I’m excited to try so many great foods like Azar’s Elotes, Gyros, Gourmet Grilled Cheese, and more.

Free Entertainment

Did they say free live music? You heard that right folks, for all 6 days you will have a lot of great entertainment and music will be heard throughout the whole park. Bands will perform at four different stages, and for the first time at the new Pavilion with the headlining concerts. Other performances will be held at The Clocktower, The Promenade, and Carrousel.

Pig Out received over 350 applications and as much as they would have loved to have them all, they made the hard decision to pick 112 different acts. Organizers are saying, “This is the most entertainment Pig Out in the Park has ever had.” They are making sure we go big this year since we couldn’t for the past 2 years. Nothing beats a FREE concert with so many great local artists — check out the list of who will be performing and when on the music schedule

Shop the Market

After you get full on the many choices of food and listen to some great music, head on over to the large public market that will have a wide variety of goods and merchandise. These vendors will have a huge variety of clothing, apothecary, jewelry, crystals, candles, and more. If you like body art and palm reading, they will have that for you there as well. Take the little ones over to get their faces painted, and/or get a Henna tattoo for yourself. If you’re with your other half or best friend you can get matching ones. Enjoy the Event

Good news for all you responsible adults out there: Pig Out in The Park will have four adult beverage gardens for you to enjoy yourself and have a good time. Remember to drink responsibly and designate a driver — whether it be family or a friend — or call an Uber or cab to get home safe.

Have a great time at this amazing event that so many have been waiting to have come back. The PNW (especially Spokane) always gives us so many great events and things to be part of — I know I’m excited to go pig out and enjoy a nice summer night here. Let’s show our support and keep things like this alive and thriving for many years to come. Enjoy, have a blast and make those memories.
