In its 17th year, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce is working hard to put on the 2021 Winterhop Brewfest, which is set to occur on Jan. 16, 2021. This event has always been a crowd pleaser, bringing travelers and locals to downtown Ellensburg to sip beer from over 30 breweries from around Washington state. Usually each brewery is set in a different downtown business, along with a performer at each location. By purchasing a ticket to this event, attendees are able to taste the beer in their commemorative tasting glass, hang out with their friends, listen to great local music and shop in the downtown businesses.
Winterhop Brewfest, But Make It Virtual
With COVID-19 affecting 2020 and 2021 events, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce had to go over every possible version of this event in order to continue it in 2021. As safety is a top priority, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce had many in-depth conversations with the Kittitas County Public Health Department to ensure the safety of the community members, businesses and potential attendees. After careful consideration, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce decided to move this event to a virtual platform.
Many people may ask how a beer festival is going to be virtual? Attendees will be able to sip beer from the warmth of their home while engaging in exclusive Kittitas County craft brewery tours, behind the scenes video content, and never before seen interviews with some of Kittitas County’s top craft brewers, all from an online portal.
The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce is providing a hyper local selection of products from Roslyn Brewing Company, Dru Bru, Wheel Line Cider, Taneum Creek Brewing, Mule & Elk Brewing Company, Iron Horse Brewery, Whipsaw Brewing and Heritage Distilling Company. By purchasing a ticket, attendees will receive a BeerBox with a variety of drinks inside. This mix of breweries, cideries and distilleries gives attendees a little taste of everything that Kittitas County offers without them having to leave their home.
