It is that time of year again when a lot of us begin shopping for loved ones, friends, and co-workers for the holidays. This year we are doing things a little bit differently with the guide! We have broken it into sections to help make finding the perfect gift for whoever you’re shopping for easier.
Each brand, shop, artist, and item has been personally selected by me throughout the year. My goal was to make the guide more accessible with items of different price points, and to show off some of my very favorite Washington State-made products.

As a mom, I know how difficult it can be for others to find a present for my kids. Walking into a toy store is overwhelming, purchasing a clothing item is so often hit or miss for kids, and honestly, kids change their minds every five seconds what they like (or don’t). Here are four brands that I’ve found that both my kids and I love.
Years ago, I remember reading an article that claimed more people in Seattle had pets than children. While I don’t know if this was actually a true statement, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we all know someone who has a pet. And we all know someone who has a pet that they love like a child, which is why this year we decided to add a whole section devoted to those people!
During COVID, everyone I know (and I mean everyone) started getting into houseplants. They were a great way to pass the time, focus on the positive, and witness growth happening before our eyes. For most of us, it turned into a long-term love affair. Grabbing new exotic plants to try and keep alive, reading up about different species, and pruning them into perfection. Here are three of my favorite plant-centric businesses from Washington State!
With a huge majority of our followers being outdoor enthusiasts, we had to of course include an outdoor gear portion to the gift guide!
One of the best things to come out of life in lockdown, quarantine, and time at home over the last couple of years is how creative so many of us have become. Personally, I took up painting and embroidery, as well as an obsession for finding more local Washington State artists. Let’s dive right into some of my favorite finds.
While I recognize that not everyone reading this guide celebrates Christmas, if you or your family don’t use stockings: think of this section as the “for everyone” gift portion. This is a completely mixed portion of the guide of items that are functional, fun, and would work for a large variety of people you’re shopping for.
This category is one that no matter who you are shopping for, they make for universally great gifts. From skincare made in Spokane to hand stamped clothing and DIY leather goods…I’m covering it all in this section!
I grew up in a family that loves food. Ranging from vegetarians and vegans to some following the Paleo diet and more – food is what brings my family together no matter any of our preferences. Washington State is literally booming when it comes to food, with options that are quite honestly never-ending. For me, this is always the hardest part of the gift guide because there are so many brands we’d love to share, but here are some of our must-haves!
